Our Trust was registered on 25th August 2004. It was sponsored by Navakarnataka Publications of which Late M.S Krishnan himself was one of the founders. This Premier Publishing institution of Karnataka is now Celebrating 50th Year of its glorious existence. Other founders are B.V Kakkilaya and M.C . Narasimhan, both of whom were many time members of Karnataka Legislative Assembly as well as veteran Trade Union Leaders. Veteran Kannada Litterateur Vyasaraya Ballal, Dr.G. Ramakrishna, a well known writer, thinker, social activist and Editor of ‘Hosathu’ Kannada Monthly, published by Navakarnataka Publications, are some of the other prominent founders of the Trust.The Trust is Privileged to have as its first Chairman Sri Ko. Chennabasappa, a veteran freedom fighter, one of the leaders of Karnataka Unification Movement, Jurist and an eminent Kannada writer.

  1. Trust was formally inaugurated on May Day 2005, in which the then Chief Minister Sri Dharam Singh, former Prime Minister Sri Devegowda and Sri Sudhakara Reddy, M.P. participated.
  2. In Chikkamagalur and elsewhere, a programme of creating awareness was held for the newly elected Panchayath Members, under the leadership Sri L.C Jain.
  3. A seminar on the Issue of Reservations in Professional Institutions’ was arranged, in which eminent Justice Shivashankar, Justice U.L. Bhat, Vice Chancellor M.S. Thimmappa participated.
  4. Dr. Brahmadeva Sharma delivered a talk on ‘The crisis in Agriculture’ and a booklet on the subject authored by him was released.
  5. A free health clinic was organized in the premises of Adrasha Girls’ School, Yeshawanthpura, which is an institution founded By M.S. Krishnan.
  6. A prestigious seminar was conducted on ‘Fight Against Communalisam’ in which scholars K.N. Panikkar, Supriya Roy Choudhury, Praful Bidwai and Lingadevaru Halemane participated.
  7. On the eve of ninety year of Sri B.V.Kakkilaya, a three day seminar and cultural Programme was organized in Mangalore in which many Scholars, eminent politicians, intellectuals and social activists, drawn from all over the country participated. Later, on completion of his ninety years, a scholarly volume Niranthara was offered to Sri B.V. Kakkilaya at a felicitation function organized in Bangalore.
